Yes, it was a good weekend: Tasha seems to be nearly back to normal good health, the days were bright and mild, and we went for a 36-mile bicycle ride in the rolling countryside southwest of here. I did not go stargazing Saturday night and am sorry I didn't. I did go out on the balcony and on the stoop with binoculars and got a taste of what I was missing: The Beehive Cluster near Venus to the west, and Jupiter to the south. Jupiter looked to be spectacular Saturday night even though low in the sky. Ofter, however, after a day at work it's hard to get moving again when evening comes. {Sigh!} Oh well, I'm happy with the weekend anyway.
I shot a couple of new photos of Missy Saturday evening (the sun was still shining through the window of the stairwell). Missy was in her favorite spot… the top of the stairs where she can enjoy the sun, a view outside, and an all-encompassing view of our living room. Missy lost her right eye to a slow-growing melanoma and, at about 18 years of age, still seems to enjoy her life despite some afflictions of old age. We're glad to still have her with us!
