Posting this, I’m unsure about how to number the project day. The A&G guys were only here half a day but it’s a full step forward in the project. I’ll call it Day 9 1/2 but it really feels “bigger” because the tile backsplash was put up this day. Dan and John efficiently worked together spreading the tile adhesive, fitting the pieces, and pressing the glass tiles into place. What a difference! This particular tile is hard to describe: it has a matte finish, a warm tone, but looks quite different under different lighting conditions and at different angles. Application of the grout will finish the tiling and the kitchen project, and that’s due Friday. Right now, however, we can really comprehend how the kitchen will look and it’s looking mighty good!
Latex based grout?
Hmmm… don’t know the composition. It likely is latex based as it doe not require regular sealing.
I meant latex thinset….
BTW- Looks great.
Thanks! Still making adjustments and need to paint the ceiling and new surfaces but it is essentially complete and wonderful.
